Breaking the system, helping to rebuild it and providing advice and guidance on how to avoid problems. That is Michaël in a nutshell. With 14 years of experience in test consultancy in a variety of environments, he has seen the best (and worst) in software development.
In his current role as Learning & Development Manager, Michaël is responsible for guiding our consultants, partners and customers on their personal and professional path towards excellence.
With 20 years of experience in software testing Wim has gradually evolved to a versatile generalist covering several aspects of testing. Driven by versatility and a great eagerness to learn new things, he is always looking how and where he can stretch his comfort zone to deal with new challenges. It enables him to operate with a helicopter view, as well as to discuss details.
Bjorn is an IT professional with more than 15 years’ experience in quality assurance and how this fits into the software development cycle. He started as a test automation engineer and was quickly bitten by the question of how test automation can deliver the highest value. This has led him on a road to discover the links between development best practices and how QA can leverage these. Bjorn contributed to ‘Experiences of Test Automation”, a book written by Dorothy Graham & Mark Fewster. One of the things he loves most, is to be on stage (with clients or at conferences) and talk about his experiences. He has done so at several testing related congresses such as EuroSTAR, TestCon Moscow, SQA Days Warshaw, ExpoQA, Belgian Testing Days, Micro Focus Discover, Experience Day and many internal CTG events. His session at EuroSTAR 2019 was rated as the second best presentation at the conference.
Wim Decoutere started his testing career at CTG Belgium over 12 years ago and has been testing at a number of companies ever since, mostly in the financial sector. He’s passionate about teaching and feels at home when standing in front of a class room. Recently he became a full-time trainer, coaching and teaching about the wonderful world of testing, but also ISTQB, IREB, test design techniques, soft skills, etc.
As a veteran youth instructor with a passion for learning theories and people management, Wim is constantly looking for new ideas to improve his own performance and that of the entire testing team.
